The goals that secured the title were scored by Sadio Mané, Kingsley Coman, and Cristiano Ronaldo himself (twice). Damac, managed by Brazilian coach Fábio Carille, pulled one back through Morlaye Sylla from the penalty spot.
CR7 reached his 28th goal in the Saudi League and scored the 973rd goal of his career. In this edition of the competition, the Portuguese star finished third in the scoring charts, behind Julián Quiñones (Al-Qadsiah) and Ivan Toney (Al-Ahli).
This is CR7’s first official title with the club. Announced by Al-Nassr at the end of 2022, his only previous trophy was the Arab Club Champions Cup, a tournament not officially recognized by the AFC (Asian Football Confederation).
Cristiano and Al-Nassr finished as runners-up in the Saudi League twice, during the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons. Rivals Al-Ittihad (twice) and Al-Hilal alternated in lifting the trophy since the Portuguese star arrived.
One of Al-Hilal’s titles was won under Jorge Jesus, who is now at Al-Nassr. The Portuguese coach collected King’s Cup titles (2023-24) and Saudi Super Cups (2018, 2023, and 2024) with the rival club, but has now won his first title with the Riyadh-based team.
