The incident occurred around 4:00 p.m. on the 24th at a two-story wooden house in the Kumanocho area of Ogaki.

Police were contacted after a female relative requested a welfare check because she had been unable to contact the residents.

Officers entered the home by breaking a rear window and discovered three bodies inside the residence.

  • a man in his 50s or 60s;

  • a man in his 70s or 80s;

  • a woman in her 70s or 80s.

None of the bodies showed visible signs of injury or violence.

The house was locked, and police reported no signs of a struggle inside the residence.

Authorities also confirmed that an elderly couple and their eldest son who lived at the home have been unreachable, and investigators believe the bodies may belong to them.

Police are continuing identification procedures and plan to conduct autopsies to determine the exact time and cause of death.
